They will explore the setting of the story and think about what they might see, hear, and feel outside. Children will practise describing outdoor settings, retelling parts of the story, and using the story to create their own.

Phonics

In phonics, children will develop their phonics skills using the Little Wandle scheme. They focus on reading and spelling words, blending sounds to read confidently, and writing simple sentences.
