VE Day

Reception

We had a fantastic time learning all about the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe (V.E Day). The children learnt about the importance of recognising the sacrifices others have made for us and compared the life of children in the past to the life we are able to live now. Our class completed the following activities:

  • Baked a Victorian Sponge Cake, with fresh cream and strawberries!
  • Used Arts & Craft technique to design a new medal.
  • Created a party poster, inviting our friends and families to our Reception party!
  • Sang V.E themed songs
  • Decorated the classroom with flags and bunting.
  • Ended the day with a tea party!
