In Art, we will explore the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, known for her colourful artworks, patterns and repeated dots and spots. We will look closely at her use of colour, shape, pattern and repetition, discussing how these elements create striking and imaginative artwork.

Inspired by Kusama’s style, we will experiment with clay, painting, drawing and pattern-making, developing our control of different tools and materials. We will create our own artwork using repeated shapes and patterns, while learning to explore ideas, make artistic choices and evaluate our work.
