Welcome back to the next half term. We have officially completed half of the academic year! The children appeared rested and ready to get back to some serious learning.
This half term's topic The Iron man and so the children have been challenged to to create their very own Iron person using junk modelling. It would be great to see how creative their imaginations are.
We are very fortunate to have Gymnastics this half term for PE, and these session will take place on a Tuesday afternoon. The second PE session will be on Friday. Please ensure your child comes to school with the correct uniform.
Children will continue to have Music on Tuesdays, so please remind children to bring in their instruments. Y3 will be performing on 22nd March 2018 (time will be confirmed in due course).
Any questions, please get in touch.
Monday 5th January 2018
We've just come back from our trip and i'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone when i say, it's been a fantastic but tiring day! The children will, i'm sure, tell you all about the different types of rocks, the feelings, smells, sounds inside the cave, and what they saw when they got to the very top of the caves.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who provided children with disposable bags and for also ensuring children came in sensible clothing.
You should be very proud Y3, they represented themselves, and Sacred Heart exceptionally well - great ambassadors for the school!
Thank you also to Miss Shah, Mrs Ahmed and Mrs Khatir who accompanied us and made sure we were always together and safe - the trip would not have been as a success without them.
Don't forget to check out the pictures in the 'rock and roll' section.
I hope the children have a restful sleep and will be ready to learn tomorrow morning.
Mr Tariq :)

This week, Y3 achieved both 100% in Attendance, and Punctuality!! This would not have been possible without your enthusiasm and hard work to ensure children are in school, and on time.
Thank you and well done!
Re: White Scar Caves trip on Monday 5th February 2018.
I went to visit the caves this weekend and I can’t wait to take the children there. It will be an invaluable experience for them to learn all about rocks and experience an authentic cave.
On the day, make sure your child comes to school in waterproof trousers and a warm coat. Children will also need to bring a packed lunch and please ensure it is in a disposable bag. There is a souvenir shop at the cave site so spending money is permitted but is restricted to no more than £3.00. It is the responsibility of the children to look after their money.
Watch this space for photos of the trip!
